YayNay

House rules

Attack the case, not the person.

YayNay runs on arguments. You can be savage about an idea and still be welcome here. Go after a human being and your argument gets struck from the record.

Struck from the record

  • Harassment, pile-ons or dragging a real, named person for who they are
  • Hate or slurs aimed at any group
  • Threats, or cheering on harm to anyone
  • Doxxing — addresses, numbers, workplaces, anything private
  • Sexual content, and anything sexualising a minor (instant permanent ban)
  • Spam, scams, affiliate dumps and bot floods
  • Deliberate fabrication passed off as a receipt

Perfectly legal here

  • Being blunt, funny, sarcastic or completely unpopular
  • Calling an argument stupid — the argument, not the arguer
  • Changing your mind out loud, or refusing to
  • Receipts that make the other side look bad, as long as they're real

How enforcement works

  1. Anyone can report. Tap the flag on any argument and pick a reason. Reports are private — the author never sees who filed one.
  2. Hidden first. A borderline argument gets hidden with a reason. It stops counting in public, but the author can still see it and knows why.
  3. Deleted when it's clear-cut. Threats, doxxing and sexual content involving minors are removed outright and the account is closed.
  4. All-Ages house is stricter. Under-18 arguments are screened before they post, and adult-house content never crosses over.

Think a call was wrong? Reply on the case or write to the bench and it gets looked at again. Verdicts on ideas are final; calls on people aren't.
