Other platforms tell you they care about kids. We publish the receipts, live, on a page anyone can screenshot. These numbers update themselves — nobody at YayNay gets to edit them.
The ledger starts counting the moment the first post is screened.
The things we refuse to do
Not a policy document. A list of products we chose not to build.
Adults never talk to kids here
All-Ages YayNay is a sealed floor. Only accounts verified as under 18 can post in it. Adults can read, and that is all they will ever be able to do.
Every kid's post is screened before it is public
Not reported-then-removed. Screened first. If the safety check can't run, nothing posts — we fail closed, never open.
No engagement-optimised feed for minors
No infinite scroll tuned to outrage, no recommendation engine chasing watch time. The kids' house is chronological and finite.
No ad targeting of minors. Ever.
We do not build advertising profiles on under-18 accounts, and we do not sell or share their data with anyone.
No private messages
There are no DMs on YayNay. Every word is said in public, on the record, on a topic. Grooming needs privacy; we don't sell any.
No streak pressure, no notification bait
We will never invent a reason to pull a child back onto their phone. No login streaks, no guilt notifications.
How the screening actually works
- 01 A child writes a topic or an argument. Nothing is written to the database yet.
- 02 The text is screened against a zero-tolerance standard: no insults, no profanity, no sexual or violent content, no personal details, no links, no attempts to move the conversation elsewhere.
- 03 If it fails, the child gets a kind explanation of what to change — not a ban, not a silent shadow-delete.
- 04 Media is disabled in the kids-only house entirely. Text only. No images, no video, no voice.
- 05 The outcome is counted here. We store the outcome and the timing — never the text, never who wrote it.
